Stanley Omah Didia (born 19 May 1998) better known as Omah Lay is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and record producer. He released his self-produced debut single "Do Not Disturb" in April 2019 He won the Next Rated award at the 2020 Headies Awards.

Omah Lay hails from Ikwerre in Rivers State.He went to Comprehensive High School in Rivers State prior to continuing to the University of Port Harcourt.Omah Lay comes from a melodic family and his granddad played instruments for the unbelievable highlife vocalist Celestine Ukwu before he passed on in 1977. The artist father additionally played drums.

Omah Lay began in a rap bunch under the stage name Lil King. He later continued on to songwriting and music creating which went generally uncredited. Because of being uncredited, he delivered "Don't Disturb" in April 2019. He delivered "Hi Brother" a month after. He endorsed to a record name named KeyQaad in June 2019, and required a multi month break.[1][5] During the break, he chipped away at what turned into his presentation EP, Get Layd. The principal tune I'd recorded on Get Layd was 'Awful Influence.' I'd done that way before the melodies we needed to put on the project."

Following the break, he delivered "Terrible Influence," which turned into the most streamed Nigerian melody on Apple Music toward the finish of 2020.

On February 14, 2020, he delivered "You," his first authority single. He then, at that point delivered his five-track debut EP, Get Layd on May 22, 2020. The EP crested at number one on the Nigerian Apple Music Charts.[1] All five melodies from the EP arrived at the main 15 of the Apple Music outlines for Nigeria, with "You" topping at number one.



In October, Omah Lay showed up on Olamide's collection Carpe Diem. His element following right after Olamide "Vastness" bested the Apple Music outlines for Nigeria. On November 20, Omah lay delivered his subsequent five-track EP, What Have We Done. On July 3, 2020, he was the primary craftsman featured for Apple's Africa Rising Campaign to highlight African talent.  In December 2020, he was remembered for BBC Radio 1Xtra's yearly "Hot for 2021" list.[12] He was likewise the main African craftsman included on Audiomack's #Up Now program for arising artists; remembered for Montreux Jazz Festival's "20 specialists to watch in 2021"; and was named BET's Amplified International Artist of the Month for November 2020.




He is presently endorsed to KeyQaad, Sire Records in Nigeria, and Sire Records for worldwide distribution.   He was assigned in 4 classes at the 2020 Headies Awards, winning the Next Rated award.In July 2021, Omah Lay delivered another single "Understand".

On December 14, 2020, Omah Lay was arrested alongside Tems after they preformed in a show in Uganda. The Ugandan Police authority recognized infringement of COVID-19 lockdown conventions as the justification their captures. The craftsmen then again felt they were set up.[19][20] Two days after the fact, the Ugandan government delivered the two, apologized for the captures and got them free from wrongdoing.

Omah Lay has communicated his help for the #EndSARS lobby in Nigeria. He disclosed to Harper's Bazaar, "Individuals need to realize these fights are absolutely about individuals, with no political connotation at all. Police badger, blackmail, beat, and kill us only for being youthful and stylish, without any outcomes. This has gone on long enough, and we are saying that's it and requesting government activities.
